DHCP Setup for Windows 95

• The following Network Components should be installed under the Configuration tab. Make sure these components are listed: TCP/IP and the network adapter that you are using.
• If one or more of the network components are missing, they will have to be added.
• Click Add.
• Highlight adapter, client, or protocol from the next window, and click Add.
• If you are adding TCP/IP, select Microsoft on the left and TCP/IP on the right. Click OK.
• Select the TCP/IP network component corresponding to your network card under the Configuration tab.
• Click on the Properties button.
• From the IP Address tab, select the Obtain an IP address automatically radio button.
• From the WINS Configuration tab, select the Use DHCP for WINS resolution radio button.
• From the Gateway tab, remove the Installed Gateway (if any are present) by highlighting the gateway and selecting the Remove button.
• From the DNS Configuration tab, select the Disable DNS radio button, and click OK.
• Reboot the computer. The DNS Configuration, Gateway and IP address will be downloaded from the DHCP server.
