Dept Purchase or Refresh/Recycle

All notebook and desktop computers used by full-time faculty and full-time employees are on a five-year refresh cycle.

For those looking for a recycled computer (a used system received from the refresh program), requests may be made to the Helpdesk manager via the Helpdesk system year-round.  If equipment is available, ITS will be happy to arrange for the installation.  Replaced equipment is to be returned to ITS at time of installation.

For those looking for a new computer in advance of defined recycle date, budgetary responsibility is that of the department.

For those looking for a new computer for a new function or location, budgetary responsibility is that of the department.  Equipment purchased on grants does not qualify for participation on the Refresh/Recycle program.  During the life of the grant, please have the grant fund necessary replacements.
