IBM Thinkpad/Lenovo Updates

These instructions are for IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad users only!!! Users who attempt these processes on non-IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads run the risk of corrupting their university owned system.

Before applying any updates, it is always wise to backup your data.

For those that are comfortable downloading and running an update, IBM/Lenovo provides the following tool for download at: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=SOFT-UPDATE

Download the program and install it.

Run the program and answer the prompts as requested. The program will analyze your system and present a list of patches. Proceed to download and install the patches.
