UDM's Program's Uniqueness

UDM's Tablet/Notebook program provides a new and fresh approach that allows students to purchase their own computer of choice from the vendor of their choice or from a vendor with whom the University has made special arrangements.  UDM simply requires that you purchase to a minimum specification so that you will have a system that will last throughout the duration of your studies.  If you already own a portable computer that meets the minimum specification, you need not purchase another computer.  By being the sole owner of the unit, you have the privilege of customizing your unit to your personal needs and refreshing it on your own timetable.  To make sure the system meets the correct specs and the proper software is installed, a software load-set has been assembled and is sold through the Information Technology Services (ITS) office at the University.  Any UDM student may opt-in and purchase a system as well as the basic software load-set.
