Copying and Pasting into E-Mail

Be careful when copying and pasting text from MS Word into e-mail or from the web into an e-mail. Certain symbols, including the single apostrophe, " ' " the quotation, " " " and the dash, " - " are converted into question marks " ? " when pasted into e-mails. Be sure to watch out and clean up any misguided symbols before sending that important e-mail!

  • To test whether or not you have sent yourself a successful and clean email, send it to yourself and read through the file. Sometimes it looks ok on your screen but will turn up incorrectly in the reciever's mailbox.
